The PEBC Evaluating Exam
Things you should keep in mind for the PEBC EE Prep.
After document evaluation, you have up to 5 years to successfully give your evaluating exam (EE).If not done, you would have to re apply for the Document Evaluation again to the PEBC, with no extensions granted,so make sure you have this timeline in mind when your Document Evaluation is complete and approved.
Also, the PEBC Evaluating Exam is the only exam that Canadian Pharmacy Graduates (and some approved US graduates) DO NOT have to give in the process of their licensure. Only IPGs give this exam , which makes the sourcing of materials for this exam harder.
Additionally, in countries like India, the pharmacy world isn’t as clinical as it is Canada, so nothing really prepares you for this exam well enough- not even your Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy alone is enough to get you through the exam - so enrolling in revision /discussion classes , and testing yourself at regular intervals is something you need to constantly do. Consistent practice of all the materials /subjects tested in the EE is the only way you can crack this one!
As this is the first PEBC exam that IPGs(International Pharmacy graduates ) take, it is important to have a good idea of what the syllabus of this exam is, and the type of platform that you are expected to give the exam on. The preparation of this exam forms the basis of the preparation for your Qualifying exams (Part 1 - MCQ and Part 2 - OSCE) , necessitating your base for this exam being solid so your future exams are well prepared for as well.

Topic wise revision classes
We know you may have questions about certain topics, or need some extra help to maneuver in the right direction - and we get it! That’s why we offer you short revision/lecture or discussion based classes where you could discuss your doubts with me, or even request a lecture on certain topics you’re struggling with! Now I’m no expert , but I can definitely help you get your basics clear- so you know which option to choose and how to understand your questions better so you can ace the exam! Classes may go as long as 2 hours depending on topics(some may take longer to explain) and we can group some more PEBC candidates if you’d like so we can brainstorm our way through the topic! I can discuss real life scenarios for management and ethics cases, and can give details on when we can get together when you request me your topic :)
Mini Mock tests
Most people love these, as these fit within our schedules just perfectly. We usually ask you to be free for an hour, once a week - and we give you a set of 50 questions to solve in 30 minutes. These try covering most type and topics tested in the PEBC EE , and keep your revision going. Followed by a 20 minute group discussion between the examiner and participants, it helps you revise your topics very well, as well as gives you an opportunity to discuss questions/ doubts you may have. Great to help you spot your weaker areas , or judge how well you are prepared for your exam.
